Although the future of Kansas coach Mark Mangino appears bleak, the Jayhawks showed some moxie at Texas before tumbling 51-20.

The loss was the sixth in a row for Kansas, which was expected to contend in the Big 12 North, yet dropped to 5-6 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

Former players have come forward to accuse Mangino of verbal abuse, forcing them to play with injuries and disparaging them to other schools or the NFL

Yet the timing of such accusations coincides with the longest losing streak since the eighth-year coach's first season, when Kansas finished 0-8 in the Big 12. Players indicate abusive tendencies have been condoned for a considerable period of time, prompting questions regarding the administrative oversight of athletic director Lew Perkins ...More
