Levi Brown threw for a school-record 477 yards and Troy clinched at least a share Saturday of a fourth straight Sun Belt championship with a 47-21 win over Florida Atlantic. Now that junior quarterback Jeff Van Camp has had a taste of winning, he doesn't want it to end.
Van Camp has played well in two games since replacing injured starter Rusty Smith two weeks ago. On Saturday, Van Camp and the rest of the Owls will face a more significant test at Sun Belt Conference-leading Troy.
"I really wanted to get that first win out of the way and carry the momentum into this week," Van Camp said on Monday.
Van Camp led FAU to a 35-18 win over Arkansas State last week, passing for 242 yards and three TDs for his first career win. He was pressed into duty late in a 27-20 loss to Middle Tennessee when Smith suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. ...More |
