The Eagles are on the verge of an embarrassing accomplishment—the school's first winless season in 29 years. Although Eastern Michigan has long struggled to put together a consistently competitive D-I program, the Eagles have not seen a goose egg hanging on the left side of their ledger since the 1981 team went 0-11 overall, and 0-9 in the MAC.

The last winning season atEastern Michigancame way back in 1995, when the Eagles were just 6-5, and there have been four one-win seasons since that complete wipeout in 1981. The senior members of this team don't want their legacy to be that of establishing a record for the most losses in a single season, but that is a very real possibility.
