      <description><![CDATA[ <p><p>Normally, a game against Western Michigan would not engender the same uneasy feelings as with Miami, Ohio, Bowling Green or even Ohio. But Buffalo no longer can afford to stumble if its promise to rise above the morass of recent years is to come to pass.</p>
<p>So their next game against the Broncos (5-1, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) has become the first of seven crucial games for the Bulls (2-3, 1-1). The Bulls (2-3, 1-1 Mid-American) answered 1:21 later on Drew Willy's 65-yard scoring pass to James Starks. Buffalo recovered the ensuing onside kick and converted a fourth-and-4 attempt at the Chippewas' 40-yard line to set up a 46-yard field goal attempt by A.J.</description>
