TROY, Ala. (AP)—Jerrel Jernigan caught a career-high 13 passes for 203 yards as Troy remained unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play with a 42-21 win over Louisiana-Monroe.
The Trojans (6-2, 5-0) have won six straight and are in first place in the Sun Belt.
Levi Brown was 28-for-41 for 378 yards and a career-high four touchdown passes for Troy. Brown has thrown 225 consecutive passes without an interception.
The Trojans led 21-14 at halftime and extended the lead on Brown’s touchdown passes of 22 yards to Andrew Davis and 41 yards to Jernigan.
Brown also threw a 16-yard scoring pass to Josh Jarboe and a 33-yarder to Chip Reeves in the first half.
Cody Wells was 23-for-36 for 279 yards and three touchdowns for Louisiana-Monroe (4-4, 3-1). He threw two touchdown passes to Darrell McNeal and one to Alvin Jordan. Wells also threw three interceptions.
