TOWSON, Md. (AP)—Kendall Gaskins ran for two scores and caught a touchdown pass from Eric Ward, helping Richmond remain undefeated with a 42-14 victory over Towson on Saturday.
Justin Forte rushed for 121 yards, including a go-ahead 10-yard touchdown that ignited a decisive 22-point third quarter for the Spiders (8-0, 6-0 Colonial Athletic Association).
Richmond has won a school-record 17 straight games and 11 straight on the road.
Towson (2-6, 1-4) led 14-13 after quarterback Tommy Chroniger scored on a 12-yard keeper with 10:54 left in the third quarter. Chroniger had earlier thrown a 19-yard TD pass to John Godlasky.
But Richmond responded with a six-play, 62-yard scoring drive capped by Forte’s scamper with under 3 minutes later, as the Spiders followed with three scores over the next 2:33.
Ward finished 11 for 14 for 177 yards and two touchdown passes.
