TOLEDO, Ohio (AP)—Brandon West ran for three touchdowns and passed for another, and Western Michigan beat Toledo 58-26 on Saturday night.
West, who rushed for 153 yards, scored on runs of 15, 19 and 70 yards.
Tim Hiller passed for three touchdowns in the first half, as the Broncos (3-3, 2-1 Mid-American Conference) built a 41-12 halftime lead.
Hiller tied the school record with 87 career touchdowns. He is the active MAC leader in touchdown passes and tied for third all-time in the conference with former Broncos quarterback Tim Lester.
Hiller connected with Jordan White on touchdown passes of 54 and 19 yards in the first quarter. White caught five passes for 117 yards.
Hiller also hit Juan Nunez on a 2-yard touchdown pass.
The Rockets (3-3, 1-1) were led by Austin Dantin, who was 17-for-28 for 160 yards and three touchdowns.
