ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP)—William Ford ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns to help South Carolina State beat Winston-Salem 27-10 on Saturday night.
Malcolm Long, who was 22-for-33 with 274 yards passing, connected with Oliver Young on a 14-yard touchdown to give the Bulldogs (3-0) a 10-0 lead in the second quarter. Young finished with nine catches for 148 yards.
Ford, who finished with 20 carries, scored on a 3-yard run to increase South Carolina State’s lead to 20-3 in third quarter. He also had a 30-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
Winston-Salem’s Jarrett Dunston was 8-for-30 with 80 yards passing, including a 6-yard score to Brian Wynn in the final quarter. Dunston also had 54 yards rushing for the Rams (0-4).
South Carolina State outgained Winston-Salem 454-202.
