Indiana contacts Big 10 about reversal at Iowa
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP)—Indiana coach Bill Lynch has contacted Big Ten officials about a touchdown that was overturned on replay during Saturday’s loss at No. 7 Iowa.
Lynch did not say Tuesday how the Hoosiers had contacted the Big Ten office but he confirmed the school had asked conference officials for an explanation.
On the play, the official closest to Terrance Turner ruled that the Indiana receiver had a foot down before going out of bounds. The replay review reversed the call, forcing Indiana to try a 28-yard field goal that would have extended the Hoosiers’ 24-14 lead.
Nick Freeland missed the kick and Iowa rallied for a 42-24 victory.

First off the Big 10 gets an automatic birth to a BCS game. It is the same money if they are 12-0, 11-1, 10-2, 9--3 or worst. The amount of money the conference gets is the same for the BCS game no matter of the record.
2nd thing, if the Big 10 wanted to give Iowa calls to make sure they stay undefeated, wouldn't the Big 10 refs in Columbus do that also. Unless I am mistaken, the conference hires the refs, not the home team.
Now the way I see another point is when people say that Iowa would of changed their play calling. Lets see, they were throwing all of the third quarter (remember 4 pics) and started the 4th with two passes and 3 of the first 4 plays in the fourth were passes. How would Iowa of changed the play calling.
Would Indiana changed their coverage with a 17 point lead as opposed to a 10 point lead. You were holding your opponent to 7 points offensively the first 3 quarters, why could you not hold a team another 15 minutes without scoring 10 by backing off some which is what some indicate. I would have to say that Indiana just wore down.
