Now what?
With news that Tom Crean was returning to his Big Ten roots and bouncing to Indiana, where he'll take the job vacated by Kelvin Sampson and move interim Dan Dakich out of the top post at IU, Marquette was left to answer that very wide-ranging question.
The first order of business for newly minted athletic director Steve Cottingham was squaring away his short list of candidates. Because Crean made roughly $1.5 million annually, compensation should be a serious barrier between Marquette and a top-level candidate.
Sean Miller of Xavier was one of the first names circulating on message boards. Like Crean before he agreed to the Indiana job, Miller's name has often been linked to job openings. ...More |
