Was there a better story in college basketball season last season than Drake? The school, which is more known for a track meet, surprised everyone—and probably themselves—with a storybook season. Led by a senior point guard who didn't even receive a scholarship until just before the season started, Drake was the talk of the country.

The Bulldogs rolled to their first Missouri Valley Conference championship in 37 years. They ran off a school-record 21 game-winning streak. They cruised to the conference tournament title. About the only blemish on an unbelievable 28-5 season was a last-second loss to Western Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but not even that could diminish the Bulldogs' rise.
