A.J. Rompza hit two difficult shots down the stretch and Central Florida held Drake scoreless over the final 6 minutes for a 59-50 victory on Sunday. Isaac Sosa led the Knights (4-1) with 15 points, all on 3-point field goals, and P.J. Gaynor added 11 points in only 17 minutes. The fountain of basketball youth must reside in Orlando. For the second straight season, UCF will again be one of the youngest squads in the nation. The roster includes 13 underclassmen and only three upperclassmen. Eight freshmen, including two redshirts, are listed on the roster. Last season, UCF was the fifth-youngest team in the country.
Youth doesn't necessarily mean inexperience. Three starters—A.J. Rompza, Isaac Sosa and A.J. Tyler—and seven lettermen are back.
