NEW YORK (AP)—Antoine Pearson had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Manhattan to a 73-66 win over Florida Atlantic on Monday night.
Patrick Bouli and Darryl Crawford each added 12 points for the Jaspers (2-2). Brandon Adams came off the bench to score 10 points.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Jaspers, who lost both games by a combined total of 12 points.
The Jaspers led from start to finish and held a 30-23 lead at halftime. The Jaspers largest lead of the game was 49-37 with 11:40 remaining.
Raymond Taylor led the Owls (2-2) with 17 points. Shavar Richardson added 12 points and Greg Gantt had 11.
The Jaspers were 23-for-31 from the free-throw line while the Owls had only 19 attempts and made 14.
Poor shooting plagued the Owls, who made only 8 of 31 field goal attempts in the first half (25 percent) and were 22-for-64 (32.2 percent) for the game.
