PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Juan Fernandez scored a career-high 20 points and Ramone Moore scored 12 of his career-high 16 points in the second half as Temple rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to beat Siena 73-69 on Saturday night.
Temple (2-1) struggled to find consistency on the offensive side of the floor throughout the first half and trailed Siena (2-1) by as many as eight points.
Temple was a different team out of the break.
The Owls used a 13-0 run early in the second half to take a 49-43 lead on Micheal Eric’s layup with 11:38 left in the game. Ryan Brooks hit a pair of free throws with 13:18 left in the game to give the Owls their first lead since 6-4 just 3:40 into the first half.
Eric scored a career-high 12 points.
The Saints had a final chance to tie the game, but turned the ball over with 1.2 left in the game.
Alex Franklin scored 22 points for Siena.
