Rams set to host Western State in exhibition finale

The CSU men’s basketball team takes to the court again on Saturday for their final exhibition game of the 2009-2010 season against the Mountaineers of Western State College.

The Mountaineers are the second Division-II team from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference the Rams have faced this season as they knocked off Regis on Tuesday by a score of 74-65.

After defeating the Rangers by only nine points, CSU will surely look for a wider margin of victory on Saturday. However, while many Rams were forced to sit out of Tuesday’s contest against Regis, they did find a new bright spot in true freshman Dorian Green, who posted 17 points and six rebounds while shooting three of six from behind the arc.

In Western State’s exhibition opener against Northern Colorado, the Mountaineers struggled heavily, falling 111-65 in Greeley. WSC senior forward Dan Biber led his team with 17 points and five boards.

Tip off is slated for 5 p.m. inside of Moby Arena.
