What is a "not" joke? Hey, you guys remember the movie "Borat?" Hilarious, right? The way he frustrated that guy who was trying to help him learn how to tell (admittedly awful; seriously, what comedian considers a "not" joke worth passing on to others) jokes? Classic. "(Pause ... pause) ... Not! This suit is not black!" Classic! And then we all laugh and your one friend quotes the movie -- which is based on a TV skit most of us were tired of quoting in 2004 -- for years on end. You probably still know someone quoting this movie. You're allowed by law to slap this dude. Thank me later.
Anyway, the point of the Borat reference? It appears Kyrie Irving, Rivals' No. 9-ranked player in the class of 2010, is a fan. What else could explain lrving's apparent commitment to Duke -- as reported by Adam Zagoria yesterday -- and his subsequent denial of that commitment? It has to be "Borat." Kyrie Irving is your movie-quoting friend!
I don't know what's going on with all these supposed sources but I have not commited to duke [...]I will be deciding between Texas a and m duke and Kentucky.. I have not commited to duke..I will be announcing on espn u
You heard the man: Irving is planning on announcing his college choice tomorrow, and it may or may not be Duke. Where it won't be is Georgia Tech or Seton Hall, both places Irving just eliminated via Twitter. And within recruiting circles, Duke has been Irving's top choice since he eliminated Indiana a month ago. So maybe Irving will surprise everyone and pick Kentucky at the last second -- he wouldn't be the first, and you can never count out John Calipari in a recruiting battle -- but Irving's denial seems more to do with his ESPNU appearance than with any remaining decision-making. Duke fans will hope so, anyway.
In the meantime, I long for the day when, like, investment bankers are recruited to their first jobs this publicly. I'd watch that show.

I honestly think he will not go to the University of Texas, it should be Duke because it is a powerhouse basketball school which gets eliminated every tornament real early and really needs a guy like this since Greg Paulus left to Syracuse for Football. But Caliparri is also a great coach when he was with Memphis but he has those things of hiding things where he can get his team losing scholarships! Duke is the way to go. But if there was a chance for North Carolina, i would go for TarHeal Blue but Duke is a great place to get a good education for your future.

I see you are an obvious ACC lover. Dude, he didn't even mention UNC so what are you talking about? Furthermore, you start sounding off like a guidance counsellor with your school recommendations and quality of education, etc. Let me tell you something. This guy is focused on three letters -- NBA!!! Not BS, MS, Phd or even GED, get it?

Who are you? Rick Barnes?
Never mind. If you were, you would have already withdrawn your name from Krie's consideration.
I bet he will be a Blue Devil, but if the Aggies get him, put the world on notice. Mark Turgeon's class is right at the top.

All of you people smack talking about Coach Cal are just worried that Kentucky is gonna dominate again.
And you should all be worried, very worried. Because Kentucky will be on top for a very long time now that we have Coach Cal! I could really care less if this Irving kid comes to UK or not, because if he don`t then Coach Cal will get someone else just as good or better than Irving. But the smart money is on him choosing the Kentucky Wildcats.
GO BIG BLUE!!!!!
