May 31 Series: Lost Eastern Conference finals, 4-2

G Richard Hamilton started Friday's Game Six despite hyper-extending his right elbow late in Game Five in Boston. Hamilton was knocked to the floor at 9:44 of the second quarter but managed to get up and play. He finished with 21 points, four assists and two rebounds. ... Fs Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace were each 0-of-5 from the floor in the first half. Prince made his first field goal at 11:11 of the third. ... G Chauncey Billups, who played despite a strained hamstring suffered against the Orlando Magic, said he felt much better later in the series. "One thing I really wish is that my leg felt as good as it did the last 48 hours at the start of the series, where I could have been a lot more aggressive, a lot more effective, I think," Billups said. "It just took a little too long. That's me personally speaking for myself. By the time I was feeling good, we just couldn't get over the hump." Billups led the Pistons with 29 points on Friday. ... F Antonio McDyess, who turns 34 in September, admitted it gets more and more difficult each year to gear up for another season. "It's very hard, very hard," McDyess said. "At one point, I was just sitting here thinking, should I just retire? That's basically what I was thinking. You get pumped up, you play the whole season as well as we do, and we go through the first round, the second round, we play hard, we play hard every round, first and second round. Get to the third round, we don't give it like we normally give it. We step out there like zombies sometimes. Tonight you have certain players clicking - that happens - certain players click and certain players don't, you've got to at least go out there and give it your all." McDyess finished with six points and six rebounds.
