Stephen Jackson(notes) hasn't been happy with the Golden State Warriors or coach Don Nelson for some time now. All that spilled over on Friday when Jackson freaked out on the coach during the game on Friday, which led to the team suspending Jackson for two preseason games.
Speculation is out there now that Jackson's cursefest was premeditated and that he was hoping it would lead to a suspension, according to the San Jose Mercury News. If that's true, he certainly got his wish. The word is that the Warriors don't want him to ever play for the team again and will go ahead and take a bad trade just to get rid of him.
But the ownership of the Warriors is apparently also paying very close attention this time to Nelson's behavior and it is said that this whole mess could also potentially lead to his dismissal somewhere down the line.

it's obvious that nelson's abrasive attitude is turning the players off.
no player would risk his career like this unless something is seriously wrong.
if jackson lands in cleveland, than delonte west, anthony parker are all expendable since jackson is so much better than them. he'll be the 2nd option after lebron james. mo williams got nothing on him.

1) Fire Nelson
2) Trade Jackson for a nice water cooler

"We know it's not in his nature, but Stephen Jackson might want to try to be a little bit careful. After all, he doesn't really want the Golden State Warriors to Jamaal Tinsley him does he?
Or Stephon Marbury him.
But that's what Jackson risks if he continues to be a problem for the Warriors. And if that were to happen -- if the Warriors simply tell Jackson to go away for a while, even with pay -- it's going to be a lot worse for Jackson than it is for Golden State.
Jackson wants out. I know that, you know that and the Warriors know that. They've said they'll see what they can do. In the meantime, the onus is on Jackson to be professional. Period.
What seems to have gotten lost in all the criticism of Warriors' management and anger at Jackson's behavior is something pretty important: Jackson has no leverage. It doesn't matter if you think Warriors' management has made hundreds of mistakes in the past few years alone, it doesn't alter the fact it can't let Jackson keep doing what he's doing."
