The Warriors' Stephen Jackson(notes) seemed uncontrollable last week. He was publicly demanding trades and causing all sorts of rifts on his team.
But all that chaos appears to be suddenly over now, according to the Contra Costa Times. He's apparently now starting to even enjoy himself. "I feel he's there now," said coach Don Nelson.
The regular season is nine days away and Jackson is saying that he's going to focus solely on playing basketball. "Sometimes I might say some things that people don't expect because it was on my mind. But I know what's right and wrong," Jackson said. "I know what I need to do to continue to build my reputation in this league as a player and as a man. By keeping my composure, it's going to help me and not take away from me being a great basketball player."
He's even managed to smile and interact with his teammates in the past few days.

his agent probably told him to stop talking since it was hurting his trade value.

Fire the President - replace him Nellie (get him off the court) Bring in Avery Johnson who will be tough on the players and teach them to play defense. Gain some respect fr the league, bring in 1 or 2 proven veterans. Bosh, Camby build around them not around Ellis or Jackson.

I have seen enough good players come and go with the W's...dump Jackson--he's no Chris Mullin. The man takes way too many 3's and has proven to be mentally weak, and cannot dribble save his life (watch the next warriors televised game, see how many TO's he has trying to split double-teams or doing a spin move). And to those that think Cavs want Jackson...are you that dense ??? The man is a liability, he's old, and they are not going to commit to his type of contract if Lebron is not guaranteed to stay past this coming year (hence the 1 yr Shaq deal). Furthermore, why get Jackson if Monta is there for the Cavs to take.

Are you serious?
Jackson is a better player than Monta AND makes less money for less years (Monta's $11M option is a player option).
Mike Brown used to coach Jackson in San Antonio. He always said great things about him there. Cavs need a big scoring 2, not a short tweener that is Monta. That deal would make less than zero sense for the Cavs.
Jackson makes sense for the Cavs since he brings height and is a 2-way player. His defense is pretty underrated. He's no Artest obviously, but compared to Vince Carter he's a stud, lol.
Jackson did see his assist total go up a lot last year with Ellis out. He 'can' be unselfish if he chooses to be, and surrounded by Mo, Lebron, and Shaq you know he'll be.
I don't think the Cavs will trade for Jackson, but it'd be a great move and I'd love to see it get done.

he has a very complete skill set for a swingman. 3 pointer, defense, ballhandling, slash and drive.
ellis is a speed guy who thrives in the midrange who has no 3 point shot, undersized, and doesn't play D or create for his teammates. he's younger, but i don't see him getting any better. he's one of the most overhyped and overpaid player in the league.
stephen curry's ceiling is ellis right now save for better range and worse overall shooting percentage, but even that is unlikely.

I dont know why some of you believes monta should be traded and curry now to carry the torch. Monta came off a injury that led to him missing more 2/3 of the season, and came back to average19 pts 45% on the field. 1 1/2 years ago he average 20 pts 53% on the field and at that time and still does,
i think Monta deserve his 11m a year contract. If you look at statistics, every player who came back from an serious injury wont be their former selves as soon as they come back. Look at guys like stoudemire, and hill. No1 expect for arenas to average 25 pts this season.
Monta is still 24 and he would still definitely improve. Monta might not look like a true point guard right now, but that doesnt mean he cant. Ever heard of Tony Parker?.
i say find a capable owner and fire Nelson. i no longer believe nelson wants to coach this young team and obviously doesnt know how to teach the young guys considering he doesnt give much playing time to young guys lke morrow and randolph
He also let jackson play the whole preseason game agasint the king taking away valuable playing time for the young guys.
