The Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets both would apparently love to have Stephen Jackson(notes) on their squads but it's looking like the Charlotte Bobcats may be the team that comes up with this prize, according to ESPN.
That is, if you think the disgruntled Jackson is a prize. The Golden State Warriors have been trying to get rid of him since just before the season's start when it became very clear there was bad mojo brewing in this chemistry and it wasn't going to take long to explode.
The Cavs and Nuggets apparently are having trouble finding ways to absorb Jackson's long-term contract and also aren't finding the right combination of tradable assets. The Bobcats, however, seem to pressing forward and believing that it can get this deal done.

why would anyone start both curry and ellis?
ellis is a ballhog who never absorb contacts/draw fouls. curry is an overrated bum who is not even a point guard, but they insist on starting him cuz he is a lottery pick.
jackson deserves better. maggette, azubuike, and anthony randolph deserve to start over these bums.

Ellis is an efficient scorer, who should probably come off the bench to limit his defensive liabilities.
Curry can pass better than anyone on the team. He's been great so far, and once he learns the game, will be a star. Anyone who says he can't be a point guard hasn't watched him this year... and anyone who watched him in college would know that he can pass, he just didn't have anyone to pass the ball to.

However I don't feel sorry for the Golden State Warriors. They paid Jackson knowing that he's just as volatile as Ron Artest.

No disrespect intended, but I have to disagree with you assessment of Curry. I do agree that he and Monta may not be the best guards to pair up in the backcourt, but to call Curry an overated bum after 3 games is a little too premature IMO.
And it is not exactly as if he has done nothing for 3 games either: 11PPG, 55.6 FG %, 3 RB, 6.0 AST to 2.0 TO, and 2.3 STL. I expect these numbers to improve as he matures in the league. He already seems to have a good feel for the tempo of the NBA and should only get better.
.
I say (and this is just my opinion) trade Jackson and give Kelenna his minutes. Start Randolph at PF, though we both know Nellie doesn't like him and Biedrins playing together. I'd even go a step further and try to trade Monta as well, and give Morrow his minutes.
My SL would be: Biedrins, Randolph, Azubuike, Morrow, and Curry.
Off the bench: Maggette, Turiaf, Wright, Watson and Moore.
I'd put minimal pressure/expectation on them this year, and just let them play. Maybe Nellie will disappear during the off-season and we get a coach who will teach D. Maybe not...

Let me see, if I were an NBA player, I guess I would want to go to the Lakers, Celtics or Cavs too.

Jackson needs to be traded though, even if it's for expiring contracts, b/c I'd love to see the Warriors get in the mix for the big 2010 Free Agency market.
