NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Paul Gasol's hamstring isn't feeling great right now and it apparently may keep him out of Tuesday's opener against the Los Angeles Clippers, according to the Los Angeles Times.
He missed yet another preseason game last night and will miss the final one today against the Denver Nuggets, though he did have a light practice yesterday. "He had some questions about how it felt after a limited practice," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "To alleviate the response that he had, we just thought it was probably best to back off."
Last year, Gasol played in 104 games. Most of his Lakers teammates stayed healthy last year, except for Andrew Bynum(notes), who missed 32 games with a torn knee ligament. Bynum also missed the game last night because of a strained rotator cuff in his right shoulder that he suffered while reaching for a rebound against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
That'll only keep him out for a few days but it's looking like the Lakers won't be as lucky on the health front as they were last year.

Lest you forget, Kobiotches experience playing without Shaq or Gasol is all BAD!
On paper, the Magic should win the 2010 NBA title easily. Injuries & the FT shooting of Howard are the only things that can stop the Magic. Players 6-12 or 13 could make the playoffs with some stiffs to replace the starting 5.
Howard missed 8of 10 FT two nights ago. If only the magic can keep the ball out of Howards hands down the stretch in the playoffs. Like the Celtics used to do, let Havlicek touch the ball on every posession down the stretch, but DO NOT pass the ball to Russell. Turkoglu served that purpose last year, who will be the Real man this season?

Dwight Howard is one of the best players in the NBA. He has a gold medal and won defensive player of the year. He is one of the best shot blockers and rebounders in the NBA. Yes, his free throw shooting is poor, but he makes up for it with his amazing defense and his huslte. Only an idiot or bigot like yourself would not want Dwight Howard playing for them at the end of the game. DWIGHT HOWARD IS THE SUPERSTAR OF THE ORLANDO MAGIC AND THEIR LEADER!
