The Atlanta Hawks' Al Horford(notes) is saying that Paul Pierce(notes) of the Boston Celtics owes him a few smackers. Ten thousand of them, in fact.
The two teams went up against each other in a seven-game, first-round playoff series in 2008. According to Horford, Pierce bet him $10,000 that Boston would go right and sweep the Hawks.
"I haven't talked to him [since the series], but I know he owes me money," Horford said, according to WEEI. He says that Marvin Williams(notes) was a witness to the whole thing, which Williams confirmed.
The pair apparently aren't too worried about actually ever getting the cash from Pierce.

team. They barely got past the first round last year. I know they didn't have Garnet,
but I'm not to impressed.
