Stan Van Gundy is not amused with your pregame shenanigans

In the words of Sharapova's Thighs, "Stan Van Gundy would rather be at a knitting convention while studying calculus than be introduced at his Orlando Magic's home opener." Man, what a guy. Also on SVG's list of dislikes: kittens, sunshine, chocolate, infants, laughter and rainbows. Likes: turtles. Go figure.

    Looks like Stan is tired of all the hype. Tha NBA has become a joke. Overrun with thugs, crybabies, drug addicts,rapists, and wanna be men. Officiated by cheats and run by the biggest crook of all, David Stern. Your NBA!

    Ah yes, the NBA is full of terrible human beings. Let's all watch the NFL instead, where we have our pick of the litter of role models.
    Anyway, Stan is hilarious. And I think he knows it. I wonder what he and Jeff were like growing up. Probably really weird.

    It was the season opener vs the Sixers and was immediately following the unvieling of the Eastern Conference Champion banner so it was bittersweet.

    with that said SVG is a great coach and I see the Magic winning the East again this year! maybe a rematch against the Lakers!

    SVG is all business because he doesnt want to settle for just an Eastern Conference Championship he wants the whole enchilada this year. I think the magic are going to go all the way this year and beat the lakers. yeah i said it championship!

    Stan got himself a good team. I would not doubt that he becomes one of the winningest coaches ever. lakers & Celtics can't win it every year & the team is young. As for dealing with all the headcase brothers, you have to be on some sort of mental drugs. Go Stan Go.

    Hitman, you are a complete idiot. If you dont like the NBA why the heck are you reading and even posting in this blog? It amazes me how ignorant/bigots people like you who claim to hate the NBA keep reading this NBA blog and even post comments. How pathetic your life is, Hitman. And no, the NBA is not a joke. If you actually paid attention you would see that the league is great, as the last two seasons clearly showed, and there's a new generation of great players. And stfu about the thugs thing. Most of the players never got in trouble. Check the roster of every team and you won't find thugs. Go whine about the NFL since they have players getting arrested almost every week during the offseason. And as far as refs being cheaters, you are an idiot, again. They may not be that good, but everyone who understands basketball knows that this game, especially at the NBA level, is impossible to officiciate given the speed and the fact there are lots of judgment calls that can go either way, and a lot of potential fouls on just about every play. Respect the game and get out of this blog if you hate the NBA. Loser.
