Lakers' Pau Gasol to guest star on 'CSI: Miami'

Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol (notes) is getting another chance to show off his acting chops.

According to CBS, the big man will make a guest appearance on an episode of the crime drama "CSI: Miami" set to air on Nov. 16.

That's right, a seven-foot Spaniard acting on American television. "That sounds like *puts on sunglasses* a tall order. YEEEAAAHHHH!!!"

"It was a very attractive opportunity. I play Victor, a normal person who is involved in a car accident and police are suspicious that I am responsible for what happened. I have good, meaty dialogue with an officer," Gasol told daily newspaper El Pais.

"CSI: Miami" stars David Caruso, Emily Procter and sunglasses. It's apparently pretty popular.

This isn't the first time Gasol has made it onto a CBS show. Last year, he was on an episode of "Numb3rs" with Lakers teammate Jordan Farmar (notes). And trust me, the show highlights are incredible. He plays basketball just like a real basketball player! Look out Daniel Day-Lewis!

Can you even get a video cam and make your own movie? lol with all the hate, and lebron doesn't even know or care about you. Why are so many people threatned by Gasol acting.?It seems that anytime some tries to better themselves the jadedness of society comes out.Alot of people on boards like this one likes to act like judge and jury about someone elses life. The fact is no person on this board knows Pau Gasol personally and bashing him just shows off a level of jealousy and spite.
Those who sit idly by in life worrying about how it looks to try and fail there the losers not those like Gasol who aren't affraid to try, Thank God Gasol or any sports star doesn't use the ramblings of petty fanatics as a yard stick for measuring what success means Gasol wouldn't have his dreams come true.Anyone who calls kobe a rapist needs to call MJ a cheater and has a gambling disease in which it caused him to have his father murdered.So if you are going slander people like Kobe then slander MJ.If you pick and Choose who you slander then your hypocrites as well.

Hey John thanks for responding to my email.You have real Class and you are a true fan of the game yourself.My father had connections with ex-laker broadcaster Keith Erickson and somehow made a connection to Jerry Buss.I got to sit in Busses Box and it was a thrill to meet Magic and Cooper and Kareem.My Father was the late Harvey Korman and James Worthy Came to his Golf Tournament.You want to meet and talk to a class guy.James Worthy is that guy..James was so humbled about his status.He played Golf as graceful as he played the game of Basketball.I would rather watch Worthy over mj.Worthy had a grace about him and he seemed to care more about winning then the accolades like MJ.
I hope the lakers continue to win titles.I think Bynum will finally have a break out yr.I think phil needs to really create the opportunity for Shannon Brown to win the spot of league pg.I don't think Sasha or farmar has that explosiveness.John What is your greatest memories of your fav team?

the real thing is that pau's injury was fake, he is not really injured, he is not playing because he is busy taping CSI. and his next project will be america's next top model and QUEER.
