A few years in, and it's as close to a rule as we get here at BDL's game previewin' division: Golden State and Phoenix play, and you watch.
No excuses. I don't care if the 1996 Bulls and the 1967 76ers are going at it on free TV, somehow broadcast in hi-def through rabbit ears with Marv Albert, Mike Fratello, and Hubie Brown working the call. Don't care if The Meters are working the bumper music, or if they're giving away free balloons for the kids.
If the Suns and Warriors are playing, you watch. You get four times a year to watch this brilliant mess, and I don't care what sort of pre-Halloween parties you have to make an appearance at ... you watch.
There's also, as slyly intimated with the picture above, a bit of intrigue. Either team thinks of the other as the duller one, the one that doesn't get it. Either side says, "yeah, we shoot and run a bit, but it's the [other team] that gives shooting and running a bad name." Plus, both teams like Stephen Curry(notes). Plus, both teams have no idea what to do with Amar'e Stoudemire(notes).
So watch, because you can dig for free, and because it's the Warriors and the Suns. Legally required.
Be safe, trick or treaters.
