This week: Busch has never finished better than 19th in four Cup starts at Homestead. "It seems like I've never been able to finish a race at Homestead," said Busch. "I've always seemed to run into bad luck there. But there have been several tracks that I've not run well at before this year and have won the race, like we did at Atlanta."
Last week: Busch finished 12th at Phoenix. "We're not satisfied with finishing 12th," Busch's new crew chief, Dave Rogers, said, "but on the other hand we're excited to start finishing 12th. Joe Gibbs Racing made this (crew chief) change with three (races) to go so I can learn Kyle and I can learn the guys to get that communication established. We learned some valuable lessons today."
Etc.: Busch once again will be pulling triple duty this weekend as he runs in the truck race on Friday and the Nationwide event on Saturday before going Sprint Cup racing on Sunday. All Busch has to do is start the Nationwide event and he will be the 2009 champion. It will be his first championship since joining NASCAR. "That will be the highlight of my career so far," said Busch.
