From the Marbles - NASCAR

Time for another round of NASCAR fan photos, courtesy of you, the fan! Going clockwise from top left, we start with Sam Snead sneaking us a shot of the drivers in waiting at Champions Week 2007. (Note Smoke's orange uni.) Next up, Willy Doer caught a shot of the latest in Dale Earnhardt Jr. technology from earlier this year at Bristol. In the lower right, Art Tidesco snapped some fine, if impractical, infield fashion at Talladega last year. And we wrap with a classic neighborly gesture from a beer-tubing fan at Daytona 2006, courtesy of Brandon Bobelak. NASCAR: where fans bond over beer!

I could have used her and those shoes to aerate my front lawn. Terribly hard clay in Bakersfield.

KG, when you are done, send the shoes my way...some clay, but mostly hardpan! I remember when I was a young sprout and would actually wear shoes like that. Back before I realized that I don't need another broken ankle.

I used to be a big nascar fan, but i started watching F1 were the drivers have a diffrent skill level. Now Nascar fills in if there is nothing else on.

I think everyone needs to lay off Jr. he is having a rough year and maybe there are other things going on also.everyone has to jump on the beat up Jr. band wagon and why?because he is the most popular driver in the sport and all of you are jealous,my god he cannot help who his father was.nascar has went to the birds since Jr. has not been doing well, but kyle busch has sucked lately to,and i do not see jeff winning any races either.jj is the only one up to par.I think that hendrick is trying to wreck dale jrs career by giving hin crappy equipment, say what you want he kisses jimmys a$$.i hate the way nascar is going and notice a whole lot of seats are empty since juniors not doing so well, you all better pray jr. starts doing well or your precoius nascar may be no more.

Linda LInda Linda wake up. Hendrick giving him bad equipment come on. He has the same equipment that Mark Jeff and Jimmie have. You have to know what to do with it. Jr was taught by the best in the business and it looks like he missed a lot of classes. Dale Sr. wasnt always on top but he didnt whine and cry he sucked it up and figured out what was going on. No one wants to see Jr. fail we just want to see him apply himself instead of thinking that he doesnt have to work for the end result. He has blamed everyone for his problems first Theresa then his crew cheif and the list goes on instead of saying hey it could be something i am doing wrong. Maybe being to stressed by the shoes he thinks he has to fill. No expects him to do that just do your own thing and it will all come out in the wash.

I believe Dale Jr. will have an stellar season next year. What I see this is he has been through alot.Constant pressure from the press and fans.He is a very gifted race care driver he will have alot more wins and championships to come in his career.Let Jr. do what he does best when he driving and having a good time driving. When it comes restricter plate racing he is one of top four drivers of all time (along side in no paticular order Dale Sr.,Jeff Gordon,Tony Stewart) Be supportive of what he is going through, the changes (new car, crew chief racing team, and car owner)
Jr. will be back on top of the charts getting wins, making the chase, and championships.Take a look at his career so far finishing top 5 in the points for a few seasons, the wins.Watch him on the restictor plate racing he is excellent.

i dont think he is getting crappy equipment, and it was hendricks move to change jr crew cheif. he didnt want jr to have him in the first place. His step mother messed up DEI i think everyone could agree with that and if you dont well you clearly dont pay attention to racing. the reason jimmy is doing so well is because he has worked with chad for awhile now just give jr some time to build a partnership with his new team and he will be fine all the good drivers go into slumps but the greats come out of them and i will always be on jr's side.

From the comments I have seen pretaining to Jr. his fans feel the need to belittle the other drivers because their driver is in a slump. Just be supportative. Think of yourselves as knowing what is like to be a CUBS fan . Never give up. I was at a July night race at Daytona and some of those Jr. fans are so nasty and foul mouthed even in front of children that they just make it look bad for Jr. When they threw things at Jeff Gordon how do you think he felt about that. Not the kind of things he wants his fans to do. He is under enough stress he doesnt need that. When we were being transported from the infield to the parking areas security had to tell some of his fans they were going to have to walk if they didnt stop the cussing in front of the children. Only because Jeff won the race. Really sad. With fans like that he doesnt need any more enemies.

beachbum - I haven't heard Jr blaming everybody else for his problems. On occasion he has blamed his pit crew, and rightly so. For the most part he has taken the blame on his own shoulders. It's the Jr nation who does the blaming, so quit throwing it on Jr. He can't help what his fans say, or who they blame. When Jr is leading a race by quite a margin and his pit crew screws up on the lug nut and costs him two laps, who the hell else should he blame. I have heard him time after time, blame himself for not winning!
