Less "Rampage" and more fights! We've been waiting for this. Now that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson went 1-7 in the opening round of "The Ultimate Fighter" we can turn our attention away from the constant bickering between the two coaches. The quarterfinals were announced at the end of tonight's episode:
Roy Nelson v. Justin Wren
Brendan Schaub v. Jon Madsen
James McSweeney v. Matt Mitrione
Marcus Jones v. Darrill "Titties" Schoonover
Not so fast my friends, there could be more Kimbo Slice drama on the way. The postfight tease shows Matt Mitrione still suffering after his battle against Scott Junk. Power voice guy Mike Rowe says Mitrione was taken to the hospital. It could be Kimbo time! Will the streetfighting legend get a second chance?
If so, what a bummer for Mitrione. His fight against McSweeney could've been a helluva war. Kimbo may get to face the kickboxer who has over 120 professional fights.

Either people will watch the show to see who wins it, or they have had enough of under trained, out of shape, sloths gassing in 5 minutes.
The HW division in the UFC is sad at best and this is only making it worse.
And honestly, 2 of Team Rampage's losses could have gone the other way.
Piss poor scoring by piss poor judges. Plain and simple.
Who really cares if Kimbo wins or fights again on TUF? His future is set with the UFC for now.
Can we please move along with the others in the semis?
Thank you.

Roy vs Justin should be interesting in the stand up, but if it gets to the ground, and it probably will, who is going to lay on who 1st? That'll be the winner.
Brendan vs. Jon will be a great match up, but Brendan is more rounded than Jon. He is a one dimensional wrestler and Brendan has the skills to submit him.
And Darrill vs. Marcus shouldn't even be close. Marcus will simply do what he did this evening and it's over.
I want to see Brendan vs Marcus. in the final, that will justify this season and take some of the stench off of it.

I don't care either way, b/c I actually like Kimbo, even more so now that I've seen how cool of a real person he is. But at the same time Dana is a joke for completely contradicting himself with his Kimbo trash talking

Cofield, who did you blow to get this gig? Seriously, I'd like to know. You're a hack writer with absolutely zero talent.

If by war you mean see who gasses and passes out first, then yes. This will be a WAR

McSweeney-Mitrione is the dud of the quarters. I actually hope Kimbo does get back in. He'd actually force McSweeney to work or get KOd. It also opens up a higher probability of Head Kick KO by McSweeney.
The other three could be good...especially Schaub/Madsen.
I actually like Schoonover v Jones. I think that could be a solid fight. Schoonover's hands are much better than Wessel's, and he appeared to have some ground game.

Based on talent and potential? Yes. Him or Sims.
Based on results? Dunno. Kimbo at least fought pretty well on the feet and made it to the second round.
Based on ratings? I think we all know that answer.
By the way, Cofield...Lee Corso's going to sue you.

But I think what happens is that Matt is just dehydrated, gets an I.V., goes back to the house and then fights. Just another teaser for Kimbo fans.
We shall see.

Maybe its just me - but the frat boy "jokester" should be reminded he got put to sleep the moment he opens his mouth.
Then I would tell him to go get his shine box...

I have to disagree that the UFC heavyweight division is weak. It is deeper than any other MMA organization. Strikeforce has Fedor and...? UFC has Lesnar, Carwin, Nog, Cain, Couture (if he wants it), Barry, Dos Santos, Duffee, Gonzaga, Mir, Struve, etc. Are the HWs on TUF weak? Yes, I'll agree with that. If this season had started like the last season Rampage coached, where the fighters had to fight their way onto the show, I think 1/2 of these guys would not be in the house this season.
Oh, and Wes Sims needs to realize that it makes no sense to talk smack especially after such a completely one-sided loss. It seems like he's just desperate for attention and has been throughout the show. He tries to use his attempt at wit to cover up that he is a mediocre fighter at best.
