Houston last locked horns with a heavyweight (blogger) at UFC 78
Houston Alexander went through the final formalities in Las Vegas today in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission to set up his rumored fight against Kimbo Slice at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale in Las Vegas on Dec. 5. At the age of 37, Alexander was required by the NSAC to apply for a license.
The news reported by MMAJunkie puts a bit of damper the remainder of TUF 10 where there is still a chance Kimbo fights again. The swirling Alexander rumors put to rest any notion that Kimbo may have reached the TUF 10 Finale. Word has it that the fight will be at a catch weight of 215 pounds.
Several fighters at UFC 104 in Los Angeles told Cagewriter they had seen Kimbo recently and he did look trimmer. Slice's fight on the reality show was at 230 pounds. He lost that fight to Roy Nelson.
Alexander last fought in the UFC at Ultimate Fight Night 15 where he lost to Eric Schafer. The Nebraska-native is primarily a stand-up fighter which is tailor-made for Kimbo, 34, who lacks ground skills.

Holy Sh**t!!!
I guess it's true what they say about sports writers.
Is it true Strikeforce is still fighting on Saturday?
It's hard to find any coverage about it on here. I mean with Kimbo's big debut AGAIN, and Dana's lack of driving skills, I can see why there isn't time to talk about Strikeforce.
One question though, if they succeed and pull in big numbers, will we see a split in Yahoo's coverage of MMA in America?
I am not one to bash the writers, but here it is almost Thursday morning and not 1 relevant article about the upcoming free television MMA event or any of their fighters.
WHY?

Heck, Huston and kimbo??? Not a bad match-up should be a great slugfest...I won't waste my breath asking the question "Where is the strikeforce coverage"????? Because I know yahoo sports is a biased mouth piece...
