Asylum took a shot at interviewing Fedor Emelianenko, and picked up a really juicy scoop. "The Last Emperor" doesn't like the movie "Rocky."

The interviewer also tried to engage Fedor in a staring contest. Having interviewed Emelianenko, I can attest that the entire exercise of interviewing him was a staring contest. A staring contest that I lost. Badly.

He doesn't need to talk....His 30 wins with one loss speak for him.

That is a good point Ted. I did not know that. Does he not mind that the whole world refers to him as Russian? Weird.

    Ha ha, the Ukraine.
Do you know what the Ukraine is?
It's a sitting duck. A road apple, Newman.
    The Ukraine is weak.
    It's feeble.
I think it's time to put the hurt on the Ukraine.

How whining will the Fedor lovers make when Rogers KO's him?

While I am not a Fedor lover as you put it, I do think he is the best fighter in the world. If Brett KO's him....well, there is nothing to whine about. 30 plus fights with only a doctor stoppage loss due to a cut will not be wiped out because Fedor finally got beat.
The odds are against Fedor. I don't mean against Brett specifically. I mean odds in general. A loss always comes and with each fight he has now, he is pushing the odds even more. The odds don't generally liked to be pushed.
But with all that said. I still say Fedor by armbar in the first round.

It will be very dissapointing to see him loose to Rogers. I dont see it happening. You are all waiting for Fedor to make a mistake and to Rogers get a lucky punch. There is a reason nobody beats Fedor, you dont get lucky against him. You have to beat him.

He was born in the Ukraine, but his family moved to Stary Oskol when he was 2. And, of course, they were all just Soviet republics at the time.
When the USSR split up, he lived in Russia. I imagine his citizenship is Russian.
So...I doubt he minds at all when people (including Lenne Hardt - "From Russia, with love") call him Russian.

People talk about Rogers punching power,no doubt he can hit.Remember Fedor is one of the best counter punches in the sport! Rogers knocked out A.A. because he has a glass jaw,Fedor has one of the best chins in the sport! Rogers will have to land 2-3 of those big righthands unanswered by Fedor to knock him out,I just don't see it happening.
And Rogers is talking about bringing pressure,i hope he does get in the face of Fedor so Fedor can just take his butt to the ground and sub him.My prediction is the fight is over in less than 2:00
