Angel, Kandji score two each as New York Red Bulls rout Toronto FC 5-0

Juan Pablo Angel and Mac Kandji each scored twice to help lift the New York Red Bulls to a 5-0 win over Toronto FC on Saturday night

Matthew Mbuta struck for a late penalty kick in the final soccer game played at Giants Stadium. The team is moving to a new stadium near Newark starting next year.

The loss dealt a major blow to Toronto FC's playoff aspirations, with the team needing plenty of help later Saturday in order to reach the post-season.

Kandji opened the scoring in the second minute. He took Albert Celades' quick touch of Angel's through ball, split defenders Emmanuel Gomez and Nana Attakora and beat goalkeeper Brian Edwards with a low shot inside the far post.

Angel made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute off an assist from Kandji. Angel's second goal came in the 62nd minute, taking a pass from rookie fullback Jeremy Hall and beating Edwards from a sharp angle.
