The A's keep getting hurt, but they don't go away.

They beat the White Sox for a second consecutive night, but the injuries keep piling up.

Before the game, reliever Keith Foulke was placed on the DL with shoulder inflammation.

After the game, manager Bob Geren said shortstop Bobby Crosby could go on the DL as early as Saturday with a strained left hamstring.

The A's already have used the DL 17 times after using it 22 times last year, tying an Oakland record.

And guess what?

Outfielder Carlos Gonzalez exited in the sixth inning Friday with tightness in his right hamstring. He looked wobbly running from first to home on Jack Hannahan's double and immediately was removed and replaced in center by Rajai Davis.

Want more?

Jack Cust...

Joe Blanton entered Friday night fresh off a loss that made the A's starter the American League's first 11-game loser. Mark Buehrle of the White Sox came in on a roll over the last six weeks. Just figures that it would be Blanton, not Buehrle, who pitched a gem. Jack Cust hit a two-run homer, part of a 17-hit outburst by Oakland, and Blanton went seven solid innings in 7-1 win over the White Sox.
