Roy Halladay scattered seven hits over seven innings Thursday in Toronto's 7-1 victory over Baltimore that followed the Blue Jays' 5-1 win in the completion of a suspended game. Halladay (12-7) allowed one run, struck out six and walked one. The right-hander took over the major league lead in innings pitched (159 1-3) and lowered his ERA to 2.82.

Following a victory well worth the wait, the Toronto Blue Jays used another strong outing by Roy Halladay to reach .500 and secure a rare series win on the road. Halladay scattered seven hits over seven innings Thursday in a 7-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles after the Toronto bullpen nailed down a 5-1 victory in a game suspended one night earlier.

One day after walking off the mound in a tie game, A.J. Burnett received credit for his 11th win of the season. Taking over for Burnett in the completion of a suspended game, Toronto's bullpen limited the Baltimore Orioles to two hits over the final four innings in a 5-1 victory Thursday. Burnett (11-9) gave up one run and six hits, striking out seven, in five innings Wednesday night.

Garrett Olson isn't on a short leash in Baltimore, but he's not exactly on solid footing, either.

In his last four starts, Olson is 0-2 with a 10.89 ERA, surrendering 23 earned runs in 19 2/3 innings.

Olson didn't get hit with the loss Tuesday, but he allowed nine hits and six runs in just 4 2/3 innings. Toronto exploded on him with five runs in the fifth, chasing Olson from the game as the pitcher of record.

Orioles manager Dave Trembley said Wednesday his starting pitchers in general—not just Olson—are falling behind hitters too often and not attacking them.

Olson took the defeat as a learning experience.

"I learned you just have to be aggressive," Olson said.
