So what if the Yankees won the world series......if they did buy there way to it, at least they did it with talent. I hate the Yankees as much as the next hater. Buckeye is right, the problem lies within the MLB and how stubborn Selig is. As a Cubs fan, I know it doesn't matter how much money you spend, but if the team can develop their own chemistry to win the games. Like this past year, Milton Bradley didn't fit it the chemistry and seemed to plague the team. They see their issue and have been in talks with the Rays and Rangers to unload him somewhere. They are also looking at picking up a need in the outfield. I have seen they are interested in Byrd for CF.

Buckeye, I know you don't want Byrd to go but he would be much welcomed in Chicago. I haven't seen much more about any negotiations between either the Rays or the Rangers with Bradley and I haven't seen anything else about Byrd either. Though the latest thing I have seen is there are rumored to have 4-6 teams interested in Bradley if the Cubs eat some of the money like the Rays wanted Burrel to go to the Cubs for the remainder of his 9 million contract and they want the cubs to pay most of the 21 million on Bradley. But that was 5 days ago when I read that.
