Updating previous reports, Seattle Mariners IF Mike Morse is concentrating on playing first base in the Arizona Fall League, according to Larry LaRue of the Tacoma News Tribune. After having separated a shoulder last season while playing in the outfield, he is not expected to see any additional time in the outfield, but he has a good chance to make the team's 2009 roster because he is out of minor league options. Morse plans to remain in Arizona until Wednesday, Oct. 15, return home for three days, then head to Venezuela to play winter ball, where he expects to collect approximately 150 at-bats. |
