MLB.com reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Ervin Santana (13-5, 3.41 ERA) will start Friday, Aug. 29, against the Texas Rangers.

Santana allowed three earned runs in seven innings in the Angels' victory over the Twins on Sunday.
Recommendation: Santana, who didn't walk a batter in the game, allowed nine hits while striking out 10 batters in the game. Santana has showed no signs of slowing down, pitching at least six innings in 11 of his last 12 starts. He is 5-2 with 94 strikeouts in those 12 starts. All this is coming from a guy who was fighting for the fifth spot in the rotation during Spring Training.
