RHP Geoff Geary had surgery performed Oct. 1 in Philadelphia. Dr. William Meyers fixed an abdominal muscle tear and a problem with Geary's right hip adductor.

Alyson Footer, of MLB.com, reports Houston Astros RP Geoff Geary (groin) underwent surgery to fix a right hip abductor Wednesday, Oct. 1. During the surgery, a tear to the abdomen was also found and fixed. Recovery time for Geary is expected to be four to six weeks.
