Scott Merkin, of MLB.com, reports Chicago White Sox SP Jose Contreras (Achilles') is not being counted on to return to the rotation until the second half of the season in 2009.

RHP Jose Contreras (ruptured Achilles tendon in August 2008) likely will be on the shelf until at least July, and he could miss all of 2009 if there are setbacks.
