The Philadelphia Inquirer's Todd Zolecki reports the Philadelphia Phillies sent P Adam Eaton home rather than have him pitch in the Florida instructional league. He is owed $9 million in 2009, which includes a $500,000 buyout. Asked about Eaton's status in the organization, assistant GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said that the Phillies "really haven't discussed his future here yet. He's still on our 40-man roster. He's still in our organization. We'll see how things shake out during the course of the offseason."
