LF Pat Burrell, like most of the Phillies' hitters, did not have a good road trip to the West Coast. Burrell went 5-for-21 (.238) after picking up two hits Sunday night in San Diego, but two of his hits were big. Burrell belted a solo home run in Friday night's 1-0 victory over the Padres, and he hit another solo shot in the sixth inning Sunday, the decisive blow in a 2-1 win. Burrell has 29 home runs this season, third-most in the Phillies' power-packed lineup behind Ryan Howard (33) and Chase Utley (30). |

Burrell's solo homer accounted for all the offense in Friday night's win over the Padres. Recommendation: It's only his second homer of the month. Burrell has just six hits in his last 43 at bats. Stil he now has 28 homers and 69 RBI on the season. This is the eighth straight year he's hit more then 20 home runs. |
