Chico Harlan, of The Washington Post, reports Washington Nationals SS Cristian Guzman (thumb) is back in the lineup Thursday, Aug. 21.

SS Cristian Guzman is expected to return to the lineup Thursday after missing six games with a bruised left thumb. Guzman took batting practice the last two days and had no problems swinging the bat, so he believes he's close to returning.
