Pavano will stay back in Minnesota to rehab his sore shoulder before rejoining the team in Milwaukee for his next start this weekend, FSN's Tyler Mason reports.
Recommendation: Pavano was able to get through six innings Monday night and plans to continue pitching through the pain, but owners will want to keep a close eye on his status leading up to Saturday's start in Milwaukee.

RHP Carl Pavano was set to remain in the Twin Cities and work with a soft tissue specialist while the rest of the team traveled to Detroit to start an eight-game trip that continues through Milwaukee and Chicago.
He is scheduled to join the team in Milwaukee and start at on Saturday at Miller Park. Pavano is fighting a strain in the capsule of his right shoulder. He has made all eight of his starts this season, and leads the team with 49 innings pitched, but has been limited to fewer than 75 pitches in his last three starts. An MRI exam taken last Friday revealed the strain but no structural damage, though it did not suggest an answer to what ails Pavano, 2-3 with a 5.13 ERA.
