1993 Toronto Blue Jays, beat Philadelphia Phillies in 6 games.
1996 Atlanta Braves, lost to New York Yankees in 6 games.
1999 New York Yankees, beat Atlanta Braves in 4 games.
2000 New York Yankees, beat New York Mets in 5 games.

2009 Philadelphia Phillies, vs. New York Yankees or Los Angeles Angels.

Let's set the stage correctly. THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES ARE THE REIGNING CHAMPIONS OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. They just beat everything the National League could throw at them. AND the Angels and Yankees have us waiting because neither could close the deal!
Keep talking trash. I hope the Phillies players read your stuff. This team feeds off of disrespect. So go ahead Yank fans! Make your misery more miserable! We INVITE IT! That's Philly tough!

Uh...The Phillies have a great team and it should be an outstanding series against the Yankees. I'm not sure how you classify A Rod as "unproven." He used steroids but he's still one of the best and most talented guys out there. Of course, no one knows how many other players in MLB used steroids. And...the Yankees are playing the Angels, the team with the 2nd best record in baseball. So you can't say they "haven't faced anyone yet." Both teams are playing well and have good pitching and power hitters throughout their lineups. I'm looking forward to it.

Yanks implode in 5, then they'll go buy off another overrated player past his prime. Suck on it.
