Duk's Dozen is a selection of 12 morning-fresh links and items that will start your baseball news day off right. Got links? Send 'em here or via Twitter.
1. As you read this, Evan Longoria(notes) might again be turning into a baseball's version of Jason Bourne in an attempt to corral something that was taken from him.
Only this time, the stolen item is worth just a little bit more than a $30 baseball cap.
According to the Arizona Republic, a $75,000 1967 Camaro RS was stolen from a lot where the Tampa Bay Rays third baseman was having it upgraded. After checking in with the boys down at the crime lab — who were working in shifts, natch — police suspect that Longo's car was broken down for its valuable parts. Longoria, luckily, has a backup while he's charming the Progressive lady: Marc Topkin reports seeing him driving a '69 Camaro around spring training in Port Charlotte. Hall of the Very Good
2. Though some big league ballplayers have clauses in their contract prohibiting basketball of any kind, Milwaukee Brewers GM Doug Melvin says that Zack Greinke(notes) was only prevented from playing "competitive basketball" — in case he wanted to go make a few bucks in Greece or Spain in the offseason, I guess. JS Online
3. The photoshop you knew was coming: Greinke as Billy Hoyle. Miller Park Drunk

4. It's judgment day in Port St. Lucie, where the New York Mets will either tell Oliver Perez(notes) that he can walk the plank or try and stick around with the team by taking a few spring training turns out of the bullpen that he earlier pooh-poohed. MetsBlog
5. The only bigger surprise than a pitcher going to see Dr. James Andrews and not receiving news that his season was over? The pitcher being named Joel Zumaya(notes). MLB
6. Great news out of Fort Myers, where Justin Morneau(notes) played in a "B" game and said he's cautiously optimistic that his concussion problems are behind him. A three-run double in his second at-bat will do that for you. Star Tribune
7. Bill Belichick may have taken in a game between the Cardinals and Red Sox on Tuesday, but Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris did him one better, shadowing Joe Maddon in the dugout and later helping lead the Rays to a 3-2 victory in extra innings over the Toronto Blue Jays. Shutdown Corner
8. Is it just me or is 75 percent of Jack Zduriencik's time now taken up by issuing denials he won't trade Felix Hernandez(notes) away from the Seattle Mariners? Seattle Times
9. Everything you ever wanted to know about the Yankees spring training clubhouse. LoHud
10. Someone's not a big fan of the new pitching helmets. CSN New England
11. Behold: The newest Joe Mauer(notes) video game commercial that you're destined to see Twinkie Town
12. Finally, people have been complaining about the Dodger Stadium bathrooms forever. Blue Heaven
