Cards' Ryan Franklin speaks on the power of his goatee
Back when the All-Star rosters were announced early last week, my colleague Dave Brown postulated that Ryan Franklin's(notes) first Midsummer Classic mention was a result of the goatee the Cardinals reliever had let blossom to its full bushy glory. On Monday, I brought this theory to the 36-year-old pitcher to see if he agreed with it or not. (He did — kinda sorta.)
