Yani Tseng is pulling a 'Tiger Woods in 2000' on the LPGA Tour

It seems that every few years we get a performance like this on the LPGA Tour, but what Yani Tseng is doing right now is nothing short of preposterous. Tseng, only 22 years old, won her fourth straight tournament on Sunday at the Honda LPGA Thailand, keeping her perfect record alive to start the 2011 season.

Tseng isn't just winning events, she's blowing the field away. Sunday she outlasted Michelle Wie by five shots, posting a final-round 66, the lowest total of anyone in the fourth round by three shots. At the Taifong Ladies Open in early January, Tseng won by three shots, was seven shots clear of second place at the ISPS Women's Australian Open two weeks ago, and just last week won by four shots at the ANZ RACV Ladies Masters.

It's incredible what she has been able to do at such a young age, and how consistent she's become on the golf course. In her last three events, Tseng has shot exactly two rounds north of 70, and has broke 69 in eight of her 12 rounds.

With three majors under her belt, it seems that Tseng is next in line to be the Annika Sorenstam/Lorena Ochoa-type that the LPGA can bank behind, and even though she might never be the highest-profile player on tour (Wie and Paula Creamer will hold those titles), she is scary good right now, and everyone out there is taking notice.

Next up is this week's tournament in Singapore, where Tseng could go five-for-five, and why wouldn't she? It seems even her bad rounds are as good as the next best player's A-game.
