Devil Ball Golf - Golf

Daniel Chopra tries to find his way out of a hole on Day 1 of the Frys.com Open. He ended up posting a +2 on the day, nine back of the lead. Ah, well.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone, and feel free to chat here about golf, life, whatever. We'll be back in just a bit with more.

So far, only 6 rounds, Rickie Fowler's stats have been very impressive. He scrambled to a
top ten last week, and this week after two rounds, he leads everyone in GIR. Hitting greens
and making lots of putts is a very good combination. Look out for Rickie Fowler.

I've enjoyed watching both the Frys.com Open and the Nationwide Tour Championship this weekend. The weather here in Ohio was lousy again today and I've just found watching the golf in the desert to be really relaxing and inspiring the past couple of days. We know how great the elite players are on the Tour, but what's nice about these Fall events is that you get to see how great all of the PGA Tour players are. Great playing by Matteson again today...bet there haven't been too many people in the world to follow up a 61 with another 61. Really a nice mix of veteran faces with some young up & comers as well...just a nice weekend to watch the PGA Tour.
The Nationwide Tour Championship has been fun to watch as well. It's just so interesting to see career paths shaped by a single tournament and sometimes a single shot. Those guys can really play as well...very enjoyable for me to watch as well.
