Third-place Juventus has been celebrating this week after the news that veteran winger Pavel Nedved has decided to sign a one-year contract extension. Nedved had been expected to retire at the end of this season but the Bianconeri's qualification for the Champions League has persuaded him to stay another year. "I have decided to stay for a number of reasons but above all because I want to play in the fascinating competition that is the Champions League," he said. "Together, we all want to try and win it." The Bianconeri, who have already mathematically finished third, travel to Genoa on Sunday to face Sampdoria. Strikers David Trezeguet and Alex Del Piero will fight it out, along with Genoa's Marco Borriello, for the top-scorer's title. All three players have so far scored 19 goals.
