Racing Santander
|
Next Match: away to Real Madrid, November 21 Racing Santander has won just once all season and sits above the relegation zone on goal difference alone after 10 rounds of the championship. That miserable run has seen the club axe coach Juan Carlos Mandia and appoint former manager Miguel Angel Portugal. The new man enjoyed a promising first spell at the club, before leaving to work as technical secretary at Real Madrid. Ironically, his first game in charge will now be against Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. Another Racing man returning to the Bernabeu is veteran forward Pedro Munitis, also back at the club after spending time at Madrid. He believes Racing need to stand up and be strong on Saturday. "We need to be brave at the Bernabeu and make things uncomfortable for Madrid," he said. Portugal should have a full-strength squad available. |
