 Team Report
Next Match: away to Real Madrid, September 02

Granada defender Borja Gomez is hoping his side can take advantage of Real Madrid's commitments in midweek to get their first win of the season at the Bernabeu this weekend. Both teams come into the game with just one point from two games, but Gomez believes Real's efforts in beating Barcelona to lift the Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday could count in Granada's favour. He told Marca, "If we couldn't win then we wouldn't go there. We have to be at 100% and not have any errors, but it will be a nice match and one to enjoy. They had a hard game in the Super Cup and at the very least are going to arrive more tired than in a normal week."
